1. Who We Are
Ladzi is a family organization and motivation service that helps parents and guardians manage everyday tasks, routines, responsibilities, rewards and family progress.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and other applicable data protection laws, DIGITAL BUTLERS LTD is the controller of personal data processed through Ladzi unless another controller is expressly identified.
2. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal information when you use:
- the Ladzi website;
- the Ladzi parent application;
- the Ladzi child application;
- our support services;
- our subscription and payment features;
- other services that link to this Privacy Policy.
3. Ladzi and Children
Ladzi is designed to be set up and managed by a parent, legal guardian or other authorized adult. Children do not create independent contractual accounts with Ladzi.
A parent or guardian creates the family account, creates child profiles and controls access to the child experience.
Where applicable law requires parental consent or authorization for processing a child’s personal data, we require the parent or guardian to provide it.
Under Cyprus law, where the processing of personal data in connection with an information society service offered directly to a child is based on the child’s consent, a child may provide that consent independently from the age of 14. For children younger than 14, consent must be given or authorized by the holder of parental responsibility.
Where another jurisdiction imposes additional requirements for children’s privacy or parental consent, we will apply those requirements where applicable.
4. Information We Collect
4.1 Parent and Adult Account Information
We may process information such as:
- name;
- email address;
- authentication identifiers;
- account preferences;
- language;
- timezone;
- notification preferences;
- family role.
If you use a third-party login service such as Google Sign-In, we may receive the information necessary to authenticate your account. We do not store account passwords in plain text.
4.2 Family and Child Profile Information
A parent or guardian may provide information including:
- family name;
- child’s name or nickname;
- date of birth or age;
- gender, if provided;
- avatar;
- selected profile color;
- family relationships;
- child device connection information;
- other profile preferences.
Parents and guardians should provide only information reasonably necessary to use Ladzi.
4.3 Tasks, Plans, Responsibilities and Rewards
We process information created through Ladzi, including:
- tasks;
- responsibilities;
- routines and plans;
- schedules;
- stars and balances;
- rewards;
- task completion information;
- approval and rejection history;
- progress information;
- rank and achievement information;
- notes and feedback.
4.4 Photos, Audio and Other Family Content
Some Ladzi features may allow users to provide photographs used to confirm completion of a task; voice instructions; voice feedback; text comments; and other content voluntarily added by the family. This content is used to provide Ladzi functionality and is not intended to be publicly accessible.
4.5 Technical and Usage Information
When Ladzi is used, we may automatically collect:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- approximate country or region derived from IP address;
- session information;
- pages and features used;
- timestamps;
- error and diagnostic information;
- security logs;
- cookies and similar identifiers.
4.6 Subscription and Payment Information
When you start a trial or purchase a subscription, we may process:
- selected subscription plan;
- subscription status;
- payment status;
- billing period;
- amount;
- currency;
- country;
- payment provider;
- external transaction, customer or subscription identifiers;
- renewal and cancellation information.
Payment card information is processed by the applicable payment service provider. Ladzi does not intend to store full payment card numbers or card security codes. The specific payment provider and, where applicable, the identity of the seller will be displayed during checkout.
4.7 Support Information
If you contact Ladzi Support, we may process your name, email address, account identifier, support category, the content of your request, related correspondence, and technical information useful for investigating the request.
4.8 Referral and Partner Information
If you visit or register for Ladzi through a referral, creator or partner link, we may process information such as referral code; partner or promoter identifier; UTM parameters; campaign source; campaign identifier; referral date; and related attribution information. This information helps us attribute registrations and subscriptions to the relevant referral partner.
5. Google Sign-In and Google User Data
Ladzi allows parents to create or access their account using Google Sign-In.
When a user chooses “Continue with Google”, Ladzi accesses only the basic Google account information authorized through Google OAuth:
- Google account identifier (openid);
- email address (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email);
- basic profile information, including name and profile image where available (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile).
We use this information only to:
- authenticate the user;
- create or identify their Ladzi account;
- maintain the authenticated session;
- protect account and service security.
Ladzi does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts or other Google services through Google Sign-In.
We do not sell Google user data.
We do not use Google user data for targeted or behavioral advertising.
We do not share Google user data with third parties for unrelated marketing purposes.
Google user data may be processed by service providers only where necessary to operate, secure and maintain Ladzi.
Google account information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain the user’s Ladzi account and provide the Service, subject to applicable legal, security and fraud-prevention requirements.
Users may request deletion of their Ladzi account and associated Google user data by contacting: ladziapp@gmail.com
Following a valid deletion request, associated Google user data will be deleted or anonymized when no longer required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or backup purposes.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. How We Use Information
We may process personal information to:
- create and maintain user accounts;
- create and manage family and child profiles;
- provide parent and child functionality;
- synchronize information between authorized family members and devices;
- manage tasks, plans, rewards, stars and progress;
- provide reminders and notifications;
- process subscriptions and payments;
- administer trials and renewals;
- provide customer support;
- identify and resolve bugs and technical issues;
- prevent fraud and misuse;
- protect account and service security;
- understand how Ladzi is used;
- improve product usability and performance;
- attribute users and purchases to referral partners;
- maintain accounting and transaction records;
- comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Where legally permitted and where required consent has been obtained, we may also send marketing communications.
7. Legal Bases for Processing
Under the GDPR, depending on the activity, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
Performance of a Contract
We process information where it is necessary to create and operate your Ladzi account, provide requested functionality, administer subscriptions and otherwise provide the Service.
Consent
We rely on consent where required, including for certain analytics technologies, marketing communications and processing activities involving children where consent is the appropriate legal basis. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
Parental Consent or Authorization
Where applicable law requires consent or authorization from a parent or guardian for processing information relating to a child, we rely on that authorization.
Legitimate Interests
We may process information where necessary for legitimate interests including:
- security;
- fraud prevention;
- troubleshooting;
- service improvement;
- maintaining the integrity of Ladzi;
- understanding product performance.
We apply this basis only where our interests are not overridden by the rights and interests of the affected individual.
Legal Obligations
We process information where necessary to comply with applicable laws, including accounting, tax, regulatory and legal obligations.
8. Children’s Privacy
Protecting children’s privacy is particularly important to Ladzi. Child profiles are created and controlled by parents or guardians.
We do not intentionally:
- sell children’s personal information;
- use children’s personal information for targeted behavioral advertising;
- create publicly searchable child profiles;
- allow children to publicly communicate with unknown users through Ladzi.
The child experience is designed to operate within the family environment controlled by an authorized adult.
Parents and guardians may review and manage information associated with their children through Ladzi and may contact us to request access, correction or deletion. Requests can be sent to: ladziapp@gmail.com
Where applicable law requires a particular form of parental consent or verification before personal information is collected directly from a child, we will implement the legally required process before carrying out that processing.
9. Microsoft Clarity and Product Analytics
We use Microsoft Clarity to better understand how parents use Ladzi and to identify usability issues.
Microsoft Clarity is enabled only in the Parent App and related parent-facing experiences.
Microsoft Clarity and session recording are not enabled in the Child App.
We configure the parent experience so that sensitive and user-generated information is masked or excluded from session recordings where appropriate. This includes, where applicable:
- names;
- email addresses;
- form inputs;
- child information;
- task content;
- comments;
- other user-generated text;
- sensitive family information.
We do not intentionally use Clarity to record child activity.
Ladzi may also use first-party or platform analytics to measure events such as onboarding completion, creation of tasks and rewards, subscription activity and other product usage.
We do not intentionally send the content of private messages, photographs, passwords or full payment card information to analytics tools.
Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential analytics technologies, such technologies are used only after the required consent has been obtained.
11. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers where necessary to operate Ladzi.
These may include providers of:
- cloud and application infrastructure;
- authentication;
- databases and hosting;
- email delivery;
- analytics;
- customer support;
- payment processing;
- fraud prevention;
- referral and affiliate attribution.
These providers are permitted to process information only as required to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual and legal protections.
We may also disclose information where required:
- by law;
- by a valid legal process;
- to protect users or the public;
- to investigate fraud or security incidents;
- in connection with a corporate reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale, subject to applicable law.
12. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside Cyprus or outside the European Economic Area.
Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers, which may include:
- adequacy decisions adopted by the European Commission;
- Standard Contractual Clauses;
- other lawful transfer mechanisms.
13. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The applicable retention period depends on the type of information and the reason it is processed.
For example:
- account and family data may be retained while the account remains active;
- child profile information and family-created content may be retained while needed to provide Ladzi;
- transaction and accounting records may be retained for longer where required by tax, accounting or other laws;
- security and diagnostic logs may be retained for a limited period to maintain service security;
- support correspondence may be retained where reasonably necessary to manage requests and disputes;
- deleted information may remain temporarily in secure backups until normal backup deletion cycles are completed.
When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably practicable and legally permitted.
14. Account and Child Data Deletion
Parents may request deletion of:
- their account;
- their family;
- a child profile;
- associated family-created content,
subject to applicable legal retention obligations.
Deletion requests may be submitted through functionality provided in Ladzi, where available, or by contacting: ladziapp@gmail.com
Certain records may need to be retained where required by law, including transaction, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-related information.
You can request account deletion in Settings or at /account-deletion. Email verification is required. Deletion is scheduled for 7 × 24 hours after confirmation; signing in alone does not cancel it. During this period normal product access is blocked and you can explicitly restore the account using a new email code. After successful final deletion, recovery is unavailable.
If you are the only active parent, the family and its product data are included. If another active parent remains, only your account and personal data are deleted; the shared family, children and history remain with the other parents. A departing owner transfers ownership before scheduling deletion; restoring the account does not take ownership back.
For a family included in deletion, subscription renewal is stopped; deletion does not issue a refund. Restoring does not restart renewal automatically. Deleting one parent from a continuing shared family preserves its subscription. Archiving a child profile is a separate recoverable action.
15. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- obtain a copy of your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive eligible data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Individuals in Cyprus and the European Union also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

16. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data from:
- unauthorized access;
- accidental loss;
- alteration;
- improper disclosure;
- destruction;
- misuse.
However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for keeping passwords, family access codes and devices secure and for preventing unauthorized access to their accounts.
17. Automated Decision-Making
Ladzi does not currently use solely automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on users.
Product analytics, progress calculations and recommendations, where provided, are intended to assist users and do not make legally significant decisions about children or families.
18. Service Communications and Marketing
We may send service-related communications that are necessary to operate Ladzi, including:
- account notices;
- security notices;
- subscription and payment information;
- support responses;
- important service changes.
Where permitted by law, we may separately send marketing communications. Where consent is required for marketing, we will obtain it. Users may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
19. Third-Party Links
Ladzi may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage users to review the privacy information provided by any third-party service they choose to use.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Ladzi develops, our processing activities change or applicable legal requirements change.
If a change materially affects how personal data is processed, we will provide reasonable notice through Ladzi, by email or by another appropriate method.
The effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last updated.
